Sun Devil Trial Skills Camp
This year, Sun Devil Mock Trial partnered with Arizona School for the Arts High School to provide mock trial coaching and mentoring to ASA students. Sun Devil Mock Trial Captains Heather Hertzel, Matt Scarvie, and Brittany Yarbrough teamed with freshman Lauren Davis to help ASA students achieve mock trial excellence.
Together with SDMTs coaches and ASA's attorney and teacher coaches, the ASA students won the school's first-ever state championship by defeating perennial power, University High School! They went on to finish 3-1 at Nationals with a victory over defending champions Indiana to place 13th in the country.
