Justin Bernstein

Sun Devil Mock Trial is proud to announce the creation of the annual Justin Bernstein Civility Award. Our version of the Spirit of AMTA trophy, the Bernstein award will be presented to the team who best exemplifes the virtues of civility, kindness, and fair play.

A former All-American at Cal, Justin went on to coach NYU to unprecedented success while still a law student. Now the head coach of a wildly successful program at UC-Irvine and pegged to lead UC-Irvine Law School's Trial Advocacy teams, Justin remains at the forefront of trial advocacy education. His tireless efforts on behalf of young people have produced many fine advocates and have enriched many lives.

But Justin is more than a great coach. He is a good human being. He is always a class act as an opposing coach and is committed to helping students succeed--whether they are his students or someone else's. It is with great pride that we present this honor in his name.
